When did the FGC ever care about arena fighters? You barely see them at major tournaments. You might see some at your local tournaments in your city, but that's just from my experience.

Bleach is my favorite on the big 3. Im just happy to even get a bleach game in this day and age. I really want it just to be fun. I'm not expecting it to surpass sparking zero but I do hope they succeed with the game and not fail like jjk did.

It's not even that it's not a 2d, it's because these games don't be QUALITY, put more money into them, and don't be bull headed about online features ui, and mechanics AND NETCODE!!!!!

Kill La Kill If is by far the best arena fighter in terms of feeling like an actual competent fighting game, but it was unfortunately dead before it even released. I also think One's Justice is pretty solid, but there are things that annoy me about it. Overall, I like the IDEA of arena fighters and feel they have a lot of untapped potential; it's just that most of them are admittedly bad and shallow. As far as Clorox, I'm cool with it and in a way I'm glad it's an arena fighter because all the whining about arena fighters over the last 6 years has gotten beyond insufferable. Even moreso when the same people complaining just want every single thing to just be a fighterz clone or another generic open world game.

If it's anything like Heat The Soul series, we should be in good hands. I remember enjoying Heat The Soul 4 back in the day

The companies that handle these games have a formula that works for the casuals. They will eat these games without complaints. The FGC is literally 0.1% of their Market. They don't care.

I'd prefer a 2d bleach fighter over 3d but im hyped. I simply hope for a decent combo system, online, and a lack of mechanics that let you escape combos without the use of resources like Jump Force. Also Jump's servers are still online, but it's just the ranked mode that's gone now

I promise. Shutting your brain off makes you enjoy games that you would have never considered playing.

First off, Bleach being back in any capacity is hype for me. Secondly, Idk if this is a hot take or not but if there was any franchise that should play like the budokai games it would be bleach. I always found it weird that they zip around insanely fast basically fly and fight airborne and yet these games tend to have you grounded and relatively slow. It’s too early to know if this game is gonna be good or not, I really hope it is tho

People forget about the more competitive arena fighters like Virtual On and the Gundam Extreme VS series. Arena fighters can be just as deep as 2d or 3d fighters it's just about how well it's made. We live in a better time now, but there was a time 2d fighters were being pumped out and were trash same with 3d fighters hopefully arena fighters can stay consistently good.

Isn’t heat the soul a 3d fighting game? Like tekken and soulcalibur? It’s not halfway between a fighting game and an arena fighter it’s just a fighting game.
  • @rodrose8001
I was always open to the idea of anime area fighters in the fgc I was just waiting for them to get there shit together
  • @PhanFanMan
The real concern should be if this game will give us fans the jiggles. And I mean ALL the jiggles, looking at Orihime, Rangiku, Yoruichi and my beloved Kukaku, who was one my anime crushes at the time.
  • FGC assumes every anime fighting game that releases need to be either FighterZ or Guilty Gear in terms of gameplay. I’ve seen a bit of this with Sparking Zero when Namco said the game is going to be realistically unbalanced meanwhile, FGC still praise some of the most unbalanced shit in classic fighting games cuz nostalgia.
  • It's a miracle that we are even getting a new Bleach game so no bitching is allowed imo😂 but seriously let's wait for more info about the game before passing judgement ✌️
  • @OtaniNoAsagi
One issue that the FGC needs to get over is that not every fighting game will be 2D like Street Fighter 6 or 3D like Tekken, Soul Calibur, or DoA. Sparking Zero is for sure a fighting game. To say it's not is just dumb. Now it's one thing to be against 1 button combo BS, It'd be cool if the Storm series had combos like Tekken or whatever, so that I agree on. But to say a game like Sparking Zero, Budokai, or Storm aren't fighting games is stupid. You literally are FIGHTING. They're literally called Arena FIGHTERS. Like the one thing Storm Connections did right was actually allowing combos and adding move scaling, etc. It's a start.
  • @KingSlayerGoose
Im glad someone's putting respect on the ninja storm games cause they're actually insanely deep. The depth comes from understanding the lore of the characters. Might guy, for example, gains a "secret" air dash cancel mechanic in 8 gates that gives him looney toons level mobility and infinite combo potential, he also gets tag fighter air combos/jump cancels.
  • @SUREILLBYTE
The FGC would take arena fighters seriously if they took themselves seriously.
  • After the core value incident I don’t want the FGC anywhere close to my games.
