Vigilante Deku is so interesting to watch mainly because it's the culmination of Deku's main problem as a person, he has zero self preservation. Since the first episode he has always been willing to throw himself into harm's way without any concern for himself if it was to help someone else, and while this is one of his greatest strengths as a Hero, it is also extremely dangerous if left unchecked.

Me realising that deku didn't throw a single punch or kick but he was still overpowering them

The amount of emotion this fight had between Deku and class 1-A. Neither wants to hurt the other, but both know that something needs to be done before it gets worse. For Deku it's getting past his classmates to stop AFO. For class 1-A it's stopping Deku before he gets killed.

Leave it to Bakugo to always find an opportunity to call Deku a loser 😭

What I find interesting about Vigilante Deku is that it's basically what would have happened to All Might if he hadn't defeated All For One in their final battle back in the day.

I know he did this to keep them safe, but they still would have helped Deku no matter what.

Fighting his friends and using what he knows about them to take them down. He really is Batman...

You know, it’s scary as heck when you have to confront someone as powerful as All for One. But if I’m being honest, it’s so much scarier to confront your friends.

Was I the only one holding back tears as they each worked together to try and stop him, and one after the other told him how what he said or did in the past had inspired them?... Bro I was emotional, ngl. We all need friends like these; Who won't give up on us when we seem to be unstable.

This isn’t a fight, it’s an intervention and the best episode of MHA so far. I hope this thread gets picked back up before it’s all over. Deku’s lack of self worth has been an undercurrent of the whole story and I’m hoping that he’ll only be able to truly unlock full 100% with no drawbacks once he actually values himself and not as someone whose death would simply make others sad.

I’d say this fight was fair because both sides were holding back. Neither wanted to hurt the other

the mouth piece of his mask was originally meant to emulate all might's smile but here it looks like fangs which is so cool

The same people who'd rise them up high through their greatest triumphs and lift them up through the harshest fall." This was paramount to legendary warriors and the same for heroes. Izuku needed to learn from the mistakes of the previous OFA users (especially from his idol). That his selflessness, a trait somewhat lost to some heroes, is good must understand that he cannot do it alone. This moment here is and later on shows it.

This is what happens when you are pushed to the brink. Too much bullying, fighting for your life, all the destruction and chaos and trying to keep your friends safe. So many bad things happening at every turn with no time to process it. This is what Deku is going through right now.
