Tim Dodd, the Everyday Astronaut, answers the simple question about « why we go to space ».
This has to be one of the best ways to promote Space conquest.

I personally dont like Tim Dodd, but i dig ur answer. Pretty rationally thought out. Terraforming Mars is our only hope for humanity to extend further than our Earthly expiration date but even then it only extends our fate another couple of billion years. Ultimately, our solar neighbor which first gave us our chance at existence in the first place will be our own worst enemy.
