A career which gives you a little bit of time and work-life balance costs you financial independence because it'll be low paying. Tough choices to make. Keep in mind, investing provides a jumpstart to financial freedom. At 34, I already have a $6m portfolio.

One aspect on the 529 you missed…you can now convert unused funds into a Roth IRA if the account has been opened for at least 15 years👍

Great video! Nothing better than a measurable matrix for your financial progress. And this is the first time I hear someone touched on estate planning so early in life. So glad to hear I wasn't crazy after all when I got this off my checklist :).

One note for milestone 7 (estate planning): I think the most important aspect of your estate plan if you have children or a dependent spouse is a life insurance policy. A term life policy worth 7-10x your yearly net income is a must-have, and rates will be affordable if you sign up for a plan in your 30s.

Great video! I turn 30 in a few months and have been rebuilding my savings/retirement accounts that were on track to $80K by 30 .. until Covid hit. Only in the last year have I really picked up my pace again and have a rental property making good cash flow and solid appreciation. Looking forward to more of your videos!
