It's been said before, the McLaren F1 was the first car to use the whole speedometer.

Christian's engineering was so profound. He invented so many things that were ahead of his time. Sold parts to other competitors while he was in production. Thats Amazing

In the Bugatti VS Koenigsegg playground debates of the internet, Bugatti is always seen as the "bad guy", because it's a company born from Europe's biggest car manufacturer and its entire existence is seen as a show of pure excess of monetary wealth. But I think from time to time the people who made the Veyron and chiron should be commended for their effort as well, they used an entirely foreign engine design and built a machine so utterly excessively luxurious and powerful in its design and function that it's absurd.
  • I remember when the CCX came out and not many people heard of Koenigsegg, nor did they care because Italy was pumping out cool cars also. I'm glad they're where they are at right now and the resilience of creating stuff themselves to reach their goals.

Phenomenal video yet again Jay. I know you get praise left and right on every single video, but it’s well deserved and i feel the need to add to it. You knock it out of the park every single time, even the ad placement and execution was better than most channels full videos. The production, the story/script, i could go on. One of the very few channels that genuinely get me excited and make me set aside time to watch a new video when it gets released.

8:08 Gordon Murray "don't shut your mouth off before you've built the car". Wow, Koenigsegg truly made Gordon, Mr Gatekeeper, Murray eat his own words.

18:02 Man’s pushing the Koenigsegg to its limits with no hands on the steering wheel

i remember when koenigsegg struggled financially. even showed off their cars to wealthy car collectors on track day, hoping to land some investors and car collectors to buy off their earlier models. i was on grips with their future then. i was really hoping theyd make it. because as it was then, the table was indeed full and it was the modern supercar era. felt like the company was fighting not only for survival, but also for its belief in their engineering. i just admire the business and engineering aspect behind their success. indeed, its power and tech that matters

Oh boy...This style of video coupled with your visuals and your storytelling and a really interesting topic make for a really nice christmas gift.
  • I have to say, there aren't many Youtube channels that can keep my attention for a complete video, you seem to do it with EVERY video! always interesting, always informative and always entertaining, love it.

I've always loved Koenigseggs, their sound, the way they look, just prefection
  • @ZedNinetySix_
The F1 was never designed for topspeed in mind, it was simply a unintentional byproduct of what it was.
  • "A company that didnt get a seat at the table amongst the greats. So they just made their own table instead" now thats a quote to remember
  • As a car enthusiast it’s always awesome to learn something new like this. I’ve read up a bit on Koenigsegg but this was an amazing video and I learned a lot. Not much into super and hyper cars but I think the design of these cars are insane. The performance is also mind blowing as well. I’m interested in seeing what Christian Koenigsegg’s visions will create next!

  • @Rezcuz
The fact they innovate and invent when needing to solve an issue is unrivalled
  • cant believe the sn95 first gen cobra engine was put into one of my all time favorite supercars...wow!!! im so happy to own a 98 cobra
  • @BasicallyApple
It's funny how Bugatti has been here for basically a century, and Koenigsegg absolutely obliterates the speed record with basically half a bugatti engine, literally.
