Ordering one of these today. This will be my first radio, and I'm very excited to get started in this hobby! :D
  • @JustReed
Waiting for mine to arrive by Thursday. Can't wait!

There's a switch in the back which you need to switch to the Right if you want to hear AM and SW, etc, it's set for FM by default, this drove me crazy bc I wasn't getting any AM or SW until I found that swich on the back.

Long time ago I bought one of the very first version of ATS - 20 and even today it's very usefull to me. Every and each iteration of this radio is better and better so my wallet have no other choice and accept it one day ;)
  • might get one of these now cheap as chips as they say nice one video covered it

I like the ATS-120, as it is small and easy to carry around, not like the ATS-25, which I have the first one from a year or so ago, which is nice too, but much larger to carry around. Thanks 😊

👍Interesting radio. Thanks for review. I suspect "HELL Field" will be Feld-Hell Hellschreiber mode. Although not very popular, some radio amateurs still occasionally use it on HF.

I'm surprised at this little thing. It works well for what it is as long as you ignore its quirks. I didn't even bother with terminal mode until I watched this video and I enjoy it even more now. 👍🏻Unfortunately it doesn't appear to do the same with CW, or I'm doing something wrong. It's hard to read CW on the tiny screen with my old tired eyes.

Good video on how the decoder works. If anyone reading this has the ATS25 it also has wifi built in and decode just like the video but you need to upgrade the firmware first with harduino firmware for all this to become active. This is just on the old ATS25 Thanks for posting
  • @NJF60
Thanks for the video, I’m considering buying one

This thing is getting better but what about filtering to mitigate strong MW stations?
  • @mscir
    Interesting, thanks.

What would you recommend the Ats 25 max decoder or tecsun pl-368.
  • @Cgeese
When powered on the radio emits a loud pop also when I change the bands and modes it also pops. Any advice?
  • @super66craig
Great work Matt, although I'm concerned about the license being behind .RU lines. It's getting important to watch that security vector more and more.
  • @tiberiumist
Thank you, very nice video. SSTV picture should it show?
  • @digitalmediafan
This is being advertised as having CW decoding but actually it doesnt then ?
  • @JDWatkins
I have just bought the ATS25 max decoder today. Looking forward to getting it in my grubby little mits lol. However, I do have a question if anyone has any ideas... What's the difference between the ATS25 max-Decoder and the ATS25 max-Decoder II. I Just saw the ATS25 max-Decoder II up for sale the other day. I can't find the difference.
  • @walter9724
I just bought one so it better be as good as the reviews say
