Great song, great lyrics. I'm glad she enjoyed it. We all don't react to things the same way, including rain. Her reaction was the correct take on this Oscar winning song.
-
Written by the recently passed Bert Bacharach and Hal David. Those two wrote so many great songs. RIP
-
The rain is just a metaphor in this song to life's inconvenient setbacks and you can't complain about it because you can't change it or stop it , you have to accept it and keep moving forward and keep your chin up..
-
I love the rain too - everything you said plus, the sound and smell. I found out recently, that the smell has a name - petrichor 😊

Summer rains are wonderful. Where I live, fall and winter rains, just a bit above freezing, can be quite miserable... especially us old guys with arthritis!
-
This song, by the late Burt Bacharach and lyricist Hal David, was featured in the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
-
Oh my God love this song. My third grade teacher used to play this every day in the classroom and I used to love hearing it. ♥️😍🥰👍💦🎵
-
The movie was "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and the song won the Oscar for best song that year.
-
Yes this is the original version from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman.
-
I think you would appreciate a song that celebrates the rain. Please try “Rain in the Summertime” by The Alarm
-
This is the original version that was used in the movie and played on the radio.
-
