A favorite band of my mother ('54), who shared her love of the music with me ('78). Their peaceful and passionate tones continue to touch my heart today. I am so tickled to see people from so many nationalities and languages commenting here. It speaks volumes to the human element that the writers and performers of these songs were able to express.

I would love it if this band would read our comments. I want to say how much this music means to me. These songs are some of the best songs ever, ever written. The voice of David Gates is just so comforting and welcoming. I was a little girl when this music came out, but listening to them today brings me right back to those special and magical times in my life. How did I forget about this band? The 70's were not just another time but another world, EVERYTHING was different. What a great time to go through my teens, high school, and college years. There was a wonder to life and possibilities that people had, rather than the jaded and cynical views that runs through today's society, even today's youth.
