Compost in 1822 by Francisco Manuel da Silva, the melody already had three uses in the History of Brazil. In 1831, was used as Anthem of Abdication of Peter I of Brazil (lately Peter IV of Portugal), known as Hino de 7 de Abril (Anthem of April 7th, date of the abdication). One decade later, the same melody was used to be the Anthem of the Coronation of Peter II of Brazil. Today the melody is used as the National Anthem of Brazil.
