If you’re telling tourists that crime makes renting a car unsafe, then you’re telling them to go vacation somewhere else.

Title should be: “Tourists Warned Not to Go to San Francisco”

It just happened to me and my wife. The police just told us that this is normal there. Wtf 🤦‍♂️. Never coming back unless they fix that crap

I’ve heard that in some countries they cut off the hands of thieves. That may deture them thieves if followed through. The problem is the fact that they know that nothing will be done. There is no consequences.

Who would have ever thought that stopping the prosecution of criminals would result in increased crime? 🤣

Sf logic: don’t stop crime, blame people for renting cars and “enabling” it

If things go out of hand without effective measures to stop this, I imagine it will result in Mob justice where people take things into their own hands and make an example and some people are gonna get seriously hurt

As long as there is no consequences this will not stop. So sad!

Why even bother visiting any city nowadays when crime and homelessness is happening in every city and no one is doing anything to prevent crime.
  • But in Orlando FL is the same .....they robbing your car in the Outlet parking, braking the windows and leave with all your shoppings.

"Tourists Warned" "Residents told to deal with it"
  • We visited SF in 2019. As long as these criminals and their crimes are tolerated by the city and are not prosecuted, we won't be returning.

Visited San Fran in 21’ and witnessed a lot of crime such as people walking into retail stores and grabbing coats and walking right out. Another thing my partner and I noticed was that we barely saw any police the whole time we were there for a week.

As long as there are no consequences, there will be criminals…

Finally, a city giving thieves & looters some recognition & creative space!

I've been to many cities across the states and never had an issue with my rental car except San Francisco. This place is a disgrace man. If these criminals aren't afraid of doing smash and grabs in the middle of the day, it's pretty clear that the city doesn't give a shit. Such a waste too. It's a nice city but definitely not going back unless this BS is dealt with. If this isn't bad enough, the homeless situation in this city is pretty severe. City officials need to take this seriously.

Not even vacationing through Central America does this happen , smashing a car window in broad daylight and not a damned thing is done what a shame
