  • i am in and out of Detroit. I love the city. This video was real. Noting that work needs to continue to be done is obvious, but so much has been accomplished and there are so many projects that are near completion. Most people are very proud, excited, and can't wait to see what is coming next!

My house has gone up 25% in 3 years. I don’t sleep with a gun and my insurance isn’t $8000. My mortgage is $548/month. I was paying $950 for an apartment. I live in a 1800 sq ft brick home that was built to last. I tell people I live in Detroit and they ask why? They don’t know because they have a negative image of it. The turn around of this city in just ten years has been unbelievable. But a $5000 house is not where I would want to live.
  • Words that come to mind Fair , Accurate ... and I like that you added number 8 something I think about quite often , Detroit being less prone to NATURAL Disasters And I’d add the climate for those that enjoy ALL 4 seasons WE get them ALL even though in recent years our winters aren’t as cold or snowy as in years past .. But I’m certainly NOT complaining about THAT !
  • Detroit is beautiful and thriving like it always has. Blessings to the spirit of the city as well as all of the citizens, peace. Rich and powerful Detroit🍄🦅♥️

definitely considering selling my home in florida and moving here. Spent 6 months here on military training and absolutely loved it. Plus im tired of the florida humidy and hurricanes.

Never thought I’d consider Detroit or Michigan, but with the progressive politics lately throughout Michigan I’m looking more carefully and seriously at Detroit. Thanks for these videos.
  • The thing is you want neighbors and a group of people to invest. The “ urban prairie life” is scary being a sitting duck lone house with no neighbors, street lights, or police coming and druggies burning adjacent houses down. I think Architects and developers need to get in and by land lots in a row and create their designs as a showcase. Small home living. Tiny homes. Etc. The city needs to promote and advertise this to architects all over America or world , but they need to hire more city professionals for permitting and contract approvals to expedite the building process.

I love Detroit , been here downtown for 16 years, we have no intention of moving, it has everything we love, pro sports, great restaurants, world class museums and entertainement, wonderful biking and running trails , beautiful Riverfront nearby, Eastern market, great shopping, and extremely nice people and neighbors. We love the four seasons also. Why move anywhere else? All of the pretty affordable price, even though they’re going up quickly.

I just watched my family home burn a few days ago. I'm a third generation Detroiter. It's safe until it isn't. The housing game here is Russian Roulette.

Can't do it when used to Los Angeles weather

This video is hilarious. First place in the showcase on your list of reasons to move to Detroit, you tell us you felt uncomfortable stopping because there were a dozen people outside the unit having an altercation. So you can pick up a dilapidated house for a few grand, and sleep next to a shotgun for the rest of your time there. Take that $4,700 and use it for a down payment in a better area.
  • You forgot. Number 11 it's history. Amazing old architecture, central train station-biggest in The world, Hudson the largest department store in the world, bells island oldest aquarium or zoo in the world, oldest paved roads in the world etc
  • @karene.7014
One thing for sure you have to know the city. I was born here know the city and love 💘it.
  • where are you going to eat? shop groceries? are you going to fence up ? ? windows and doors too? after you fixed up your house after SPENDING $100k on it? if not more
  • I am thinking of moving to Michigan but I want to be in a safe neighborhood
  • @MrMarkar1959
Yes I agree!! Everybody needing housing go to Detroit!! and canada will let you in if you wear a queen charlie Tshirt.
  • @splibs43
Should I move to Detroit from Chicago? It's like a war down here every day. I just want to know is it worth moving there to get away from this war zone, or will I basically be in the same situation?
