Such gullibility is to be pitied but also annoying that she ignored those closest to her for someone who she has never met.

That priest is a true Saint on Earth in so many ways.

How can anyone think a neurosurgeon would have no money! WAKE UP.

Sounds like that hotel was in on the drug running and scammers. Too convenient that they deleted it. With full knowledge about it. Manager needs to be investigated.

Some lessons are hard to be learnt. Listen to your loved ones… not to the idiot you just met on the internet.

I'm a Nigerian and I'm really ashamed of our image on the global space. I'm so sorry this innocent woman is going through this problem. The hotel manager should be arrested, I'm pretty sure she's a culprit. She initially said the cctv recording is kept for a year, how come it was deleted after 4 months?
  • She should have listened to her friend, after all she has the voice of a seasoned detective

Hotel manager should be arrested for deleting the CCTV footage deliberately
  • I feel so sorry for the daughter. How can a grown as woman, a mother and grandmother be so naive? Its like a grown toddler.
  • Much safer to go and adopt a dog or cat from a shelter - that will be a guaranteed way to find Real Love!

It's sad that she valued a stranger (who turned out to be a scammer) more than she valued her family 😢

The worst thing about nearly all of the victims of these scams is they don’t, and won’t believe it when people tell them they’re scammers!

Some takeaways from this sad story: She was released. In the subsequent show, she says she doesn’t understand why bad things continuously happen to her. There’s a pithy answer to this, however, everyone told her not to go, she was scammed repeatedly and still couldn’t help herself. No little alarm bells went off, nor did she have any sense of self preservation going to two very difficult travel destinations. (I would never go to either place as a single woman.) There are cruel, callous, hideous people who will take advantage of your weaknesses. They are the piranhas of humankind, and they tend to reside in larger numbers in disrupted, dysfunctional countries. Two: She is freaking lucky they sent her to Hong Kong and not to Indonesia, from which there is no return for drug traffickers except in a box. Good job to the angels who rescued her from herself. May she grow wiser with each day.

Difficult to document how many hours go into a presentation like this and the number of setbacks along the way. So, I greatly appreciate the entire crew, from logistics to loggers to coordinates and archivist!

The fact that she compared herself to Job is proof she refuses to understand what she did wrong and will likely fall for a variety of different scams now that she's out of jail. 😳
  • @TracyUhiara
For her to put her daughter through all this is despicable 😮
  • @Ilistentoyou
I can imagine how she would feel when being incarcerated in a foreign country. However, she was deceived once and lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Her stupidity dominated her action again. What is wrong with her? Now that she was released from prison and returned to Ontario, she should wake up, not try to live in a brain of an infant.
  • Utopia is not real. For goodness sake was she educated or not ? Sorry to sound harsh but I am now 86 and would never ever fall for any scammer.
  • @shell6551
She actually said that she even love the ones that hurt her. Wow! What an idiot!!! She could still be scammed.
  • @nickgrant205
Once bitten twice shy they say but twice and ignoring your friends and family warnings is straight stupidity I have no sympathy.
