  • One of the best live performances ever. One of the rare occasions where the band members are on top of their game, and the band and the crowd are so in sync that the result is pure magic. 🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸
  • @danieldaley9097
I’M 70 YEARS OLD…MY GENERATION WAS SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE HAD SO MANY TRULY TALENTED MUSICIANS….
  • @xwolkyx
Mark Knopfler's guitar mastery in this performance is nothing short of phenomenal. The way he makes the guitar sing is pure magic. Truly a timeless classic!
  • @jeffstevens4262
Don't you just love it when Mark looks into the camera while he's playing and smiles like there's nothing to it...! PURE GENIUS. 🙋‍♂ ❤
  • @andrewchristou2857
Terry Williams the drummer is just absolutely FANTASTIC, adds so much more than the original, i mean way way more!!🔥
  • @BringItMAGA
Terry Williams OWNS this performance and he is revered for it. I watch it regularly. Thanks for listening to us. Love your reactions.
  • @Isleofskye
WELL DONE GUYS and Thanks for listening and responding to one of the great live performances and GOOD NEWS is that from this same ALCHEMY Concert, you have the encore called "Telegraph Road" a MUST to check out! You have TWO "once in a lifetime" performances in ONE Concert. The drumming was spectacular as was the whole Band:)
  • @Zentrix-24
This is by far the best version!!!!!!!
  • @ikluso9773
If when listening to a Mark Knopfler song your attention is drawn away from Mark's astonishing guitar playing and you're actually noticing the drummer (I mean REALLY noticing because of his freakin awesome playing) that tells you are experiencing a WORLD CLASS drummer. This is by far the best version ever of this song!
  • @Mikex973
TERRY WILLIAMS REALLY WAS GREAT ON THE DRUMS.
  • @Erulin68
Thing about Mark Knopfler is that he's left-handed but mastered a right-handed guitar to a level most right-handed players will never reach. Truely a very underrated player.
  • @LordRahl1975
As good as the studio version is, I have to confess that this specific live version is the only one I listen to these days as I just love the second half and the entire new section added to it.

6:05 Guy in the background always makes me chuckle. Dude is having the best time of his life!
  • @mikefetterman6782
Mark Knopfler was so fast and fluent on the guitar, in a friendly "cutting heads" exhibition during a concert, Eddie Van Halen smiled, bowed, and gave the stage to Mark. His "chickin pickin" finger style picking impressed the best. Chet Atkins (Mr. Guitar) gave him the master knod.

Such a great live version! Dire Straits are a great British rock band from the 70's-90's. Mark Knopfler is one of the best guitarists around. They have had so many hits including "Walk Of Life", "Brothers In Arms", "Money For Nothing", "Telegraph Road", "Romeo & Juliet", "Private Investigations", "Twisting By The Pool", "So Far Away" etc. They don't have a bad song.
  • @colinkhalid1
i am 70 and been listening to Dire Straits for decades, how did I miss this amazing version! thanks for the heads up
  • @williamjones6031
The studio version of this is one of the best songs for cruising. It's nice that you enjoyed it so much.🤗 What I love about this clip is how much fun they're having. Making a living like that wouldn't suck.
  • @ztango4011
Props to the drummer, he’s going off, Love it!!!
  • @jeffstevens4262
Some people have said Mark's vocals are sometimes not as strong as maybe they could be, but the thing which makes him stand out (for me) is that he prefers to let the music do most of the talking and singing, so his vocals might sound a little 'understated' on occasion, but his genius can never be questioned. He is definitely a 'one-off'. 🙋‍♂ ❤
