Time lapse video storm clouds feeding supercell storm 7 inches of rain

Published 2023-05-11
Love marrying time lapse clouds to music. 1st week of May. Folks on local forum stating the rain gauge at over 7 inches. Rain persisted for at least 6 hours and at times rainfall rates measured 4 inches per hour. That's a lot of water...but it went into Lake Travis. Which is at less than 50% full. The last time we went into May with a 1/2 empty lake, a cut-off low pressure system dumped 14 inches of rain in under 12 hours over a wide area. What some folks would call a gully washer.
