Rocky Mountain Power addresses frequent outages across Utah, cites various causes

Because of the recent string of outages, 2News spoke with Rocky Mountain Power officials to find out what’s happening.
"Going back to two weeks ago, having 20,000 people out on a Friday evening is not normal," said Jona Whitesides, a Rocky Mountain Power spokesman.
Whitesides explained that the recent outages are due to a mixture of causes.
"We had 2,000 people out in Ogden from a car hitting a pole. There were downed lines in Moroni, equipment issues in Tooele, and even a wildfire."
