these videos really feel like an obituary for the optimism and relative mental ease of the 90s/2000s.
  • Rhubarb? Unnerving? This is the most soothing and peaceful song I have ever heard in my life. It highlights the beauty of life we often forget when we go through bad times. Listening to this while you're looking at the trees moving with the with, the blue sky appearing through the branches, as birds fly is an unmatched feeling. It doesn't fit liminal spaces, but it's such a beautiful piece of music.
  • Thank you for making this. It's kind of sad, but pretty cool to see these places again as an adult.
  • 4:58 I feel like I saw this place in a dream once. And, honestly, this video doesn’t unnerve me. It just makes me want to explore. Go places I don’t know. See others’ lives. It makes me want to be a kid again.

Stillness, emptiness, smoothness, strangeness. These are perfect!

The common factor is really just uncanniness. Water inside a windowless room. Ersatz painted scenery on walls, being both wide and cramped. Stuff like that

Some days ago my best friend left me so I have been watching liminal space videos to cheer myself up because idk why but it helps
  • Heres my theory on liminal spaces: Pretty much its something to remind you of your childhood so much as it makes you feel like youve been there and had a burning memory there so they try to get these images that have something of your childhood such as playgrounds mcdonalds or just stuff colorful and make it empty with only the thing to make you feel nostalgic lasting and the reason these are unnerving yet nostalgic is cause as a child you wouldnt have any fear and still had a good time there but as an older person with fear its unnerving

2:08 this one feels more dreamlike than anything ive seen. Definitely evokes early 2000s vibes from disney fairies or legend of zelda.

The closest feeling I’ve had irl that is similar to the feeling I get from the video is when I revisited a water park from a foreign country with my friend and his family as I’d been 7 years before hand with my family. It was so weird and as much as I enjoyed it I felt numb and it was weird going on and looking at all the old slides and surroundings
  • It's strange, looking at liminal spaces makes me feel like a person again. Ever since I was 13 I have been in a constant stage of dissociation. Looking at these kinds of videos and content are calming to me and help ease my mind.
  • These are all the locations of those that survived the first wave of the monster apocalypse. Some are hiding, others are searching for either supplies or shelter, but none of them are safe.
