I love how she asks a question and when the person hesitates she points out that she can easily find out the truth and then they answer honestly. Seen her do it a few times, it’s awesome.

It seems to me like its the other way around. The lady is not holding the horse hostage....she's holding the owner accountable. The horse was injured and we are told that the owner owes the vet a past due bill of either $280 or $900 before she would see the horse. And according to the stable owner, the lady also owed her September's boarding fee for her horse, as well. So perhaps she was using the horse as leverage to ensure she got paid because she knows this lady has a history of running up bills and then not paying up. And its expensive to keep a horse.
