We are more than halfway through chemotherapy for breast cancer and wanted to share a life update! Welcome to a day in the life of a cancer patient at home ❤️‍🩹 Thank you to BetterHelp for sponsoring this video. Get 10% off your first month www.betterhelp.com/eamonandbec

On December 21, 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. We embarked on a journey of healing beginning with 8 rounds of chemotherapy. Before chemo began I was terrified of losing my hair, of feeling weak and of becoming really sickly looking but I was determined to remain positive about how the treatment would affect me. Today we are sharing what a typical day looks like for us at home while living with cancer and the harsh effects of chemotherapy treatment. Our life at our cabin in the woods certainly looks different now than it did a year ago (think more napping, less building stuff 😜 ) but I hope anyone going through something similar may find a bit of hope in this episode. Maybe you feel a little less alone. Maybe you learn a new food trick. Or maybe you just take this as your reminder to go easy on yourself.

Sending you all so much love and gratitude. Your messages, comments and prayers are felt by us both and we appreciate them all so much.

Good morning wonderful, beautiful people 💜! Thank you for joining us for a very stripped back episode this week. Proud and humbled to be more than half way done our chemotherapy journey. Your continued love and thoughts are felt by us each and every day so please keep them coming. ALSO, who is SO excited for our official adoption of our Oso 🐻 ?!?!

There is NO SUCH THING as "too many dog shots" when it comes to Oso! 😂😂😂 He's amazing, as are you two xxx

I had stage 2 breast cancer 30 years ago. Went through chemo. Just lay on the couch for six months letting the drugs do their thing - didn't stress myself - decided to enjoy the only time in my life where I had a perfect excuse to watch TV all day long! After chemo is over, you recover quickly. I moved on --- detached from the whole thing - I did everything medically I was supposed to do but thought it was really important to not then become a "survivor". I returned to being me and never looked back, as though I had stepped over a dog pile on the sidewalk. It worked! Anyway, lots of love to you and don't worry --- this time will become just a memory - amazing, eh?

As a two-time foster failure....I'm beyond thrilled to see that Oso has found his forever home! So proud of you both as you travel this bumpy road.
  • There is no such thing as “too much dog footage “ I am amazed at your courage to share when you are at your most raw, you are beautiful and so strong.

eamon, I saw a quote. “I can’t help you through every situation, but I can be there with you through every situation” that’s how you should see it when she’s spiraling and you don’t know what to say❤️ she appreciates you just being there
  • @Camey71073
when she's spiraling, just listen and comfort. You're an amazing husband/partner/teammate and a very large part of what gives her the strength to get through this.

Wanting to be "everything she needs me to be"-- that is love, Eamon. And that's what she needs you to be. We love you both. ❤

As a "non-dog-person", I still love seeing other people enjoying and loving on their fur babies <3 Oso clearly brings you both so much joy, please don't feel bad for sharing that joy with us!!

I don’t know what I would do without my dog. She has helped get me through the hardest times of my life specifically when I lost my grandmother when I was living with her. She was so instrumental in helping me grieve.

NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR TOO MUCH OSO!!!!! he’s the cutest and he has the funniest personality, he’s the best part of you guys’ videos imo hahah
  • @ladayjay7320
there's never such a thing as "too much" when it comes to dogs. oso's a part of your pack now and on this journey with you. besides, a little dirt and fur never hurt anyone💜🐾

When my dad was going through his throat cancer I was a complete mess. I started cooking vegan meals for my dad during his treatment which helped me deal. Once we were given a plan for my father I felt so much relief. My dad is now 3 years No evidence of disease. Having solid support is important. I wish you both the best on your journey and know you aren't alone.
  • @SpookyBur
