Saw a couple comments on this already so putting this out there for everyone! Sorry to the stats nerds expecting a thorough statistical analysis! While I still think trading/economic efficiency (in a different form)/late round success metrics (in a different form) could all be a part of a real predictive model for performance, I recognize that round-related outcomes are going to be extremely biased towards teams with higher round win pct to begin with. These stats were mostly for fun to try and bring attention to what team factors contribute to consistently high performances (closing out advantages, but simultaneously not relying on them to succeed), and what people might want to qualitatively look out for while watching Champs, but I understand your feedback that they quantitatively don't hold much weight. I realized early on that there are probably too many limitations to make any solid predictions to begin with, which is why I emphasized not taking these predictions seriously towards the end of the video. With more time in the future I'll try to do a more legitimate stats video on something else, but hopefully you enjoyed the video as much as you could anyway😅

The first blood statistics perhaps were valuable if you included only one: either FB and Non FB. Taking into account both, you are sampling 100% of rounds and I feel like its just going to be biased to whoever wins the most (The Champions winners obviously). The rest I feel as if are also biased to "whoever wins the most rounds" (Besides trades) which can just be equated to whoever is playing well. We all know the champs winners were playing well. Though I think being able to win ECO's is huge and a good indicator of good tactics (in contrasts to just having good aim and mechanics. At least if were not talking the chamber meta)

Honestly, as a Computer Science student, I'd love to do some data mining on these stats haha

The Gen.G vs G2 Grand Final gonna go CRAZY calling it now.
  • Fb win percentage feels like it has the obvious confound of the teams that win it all will have a higher round win percentage in general since they're winning, which would raise their fb win rate.

hey Platoon, great video as usual! The percentage at 2:25 should be average tho, instead of total. It just doesn't make sense to add them up.

The stats are proof that acend winning champs were just a fluke. I don't see any of the acend players getting highlights after the event
