Some bonus levels are straightforward rewards, unlocked by your accomplishments. Others are brutal challenges. You may have beaten the rest of the game, but only the best of the best can tackle these savagely difficult extra stages, which are presumably cruel jokes by game designers who want you to suffer. Decide for yourself after beholding these seven bonus stages and subscribe for a video like this every Thursday!

That feeling when you realize the guy who made a Mario Maker level that plays Country Road probably spent more time play testing his creation than Bethesda did with Fallout 76.

"We're better than that." should have been IMMEDIATELY followed by a Jane or Mike "are we?" from off-screen.

"Or, if you're English, that bloody palace!". This got me, I'll be honest.

Where is my lovely Bayonetta? The platinum tickets for the awesome boss fight with Rodin.

Jane being evil, she'd recognize when game developers are being evil too. Thankfully she treats subscribers like pets. So the rest of us have nothing to worry about..... hopefully.
  • Path of pain. Hollow knight. An absurdly hard level whose final jump lands you face first into a surprise boss fight. And if they flatten you into a tiny buggy pancake, you have to do the whole thing over again

"We were going to make a joke about that, but we're better than that." I approve this method of having your cake and eating it ;)

Mario Odyssey Darker Side of the Moon. Every time you die in that game you lose 10 coins. I started that level with 9000 coins. I ended with 0, and never made it more than a third in. You beat me, Mario Odyssey. You beat me.
  • Oh everyone in the Hollow Knight fandom knows that the Path of Pain is literally PAIN!!!

"Harder than a diamond-coated quadratic equation" - well said, Jane, that belongs on a T-shirt!

Actually all Super Mario Odyssey levels are nightmare hell levels if you stop to think about what Cappy is doing to the souls of Mario's victims.

I'm surprised the extra stages in the Touhou games weren't included. All of them are brutal as all hell and are accurate simulations for trying to dodge rain in the middle of a hurricane.

The octodad bonus level in the aquarium... I have never raged so much in my life.
  • @Betta66
"Who knew Jaws was so hard to kill?" Uh...everyone who saw The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker?
  • @andymcp4752
I always wondered if the developers that made these bonus levels and challenges ever had to beat them, or did they just think yeah that's technically possible I'm sure some lightning thumbed weirdos out there have got this

In an alternate timeline, Mike Channel is a professional racecar driver.

No, for real... who's playing this footage of DMC4 and where can I send them cookies?
  • @HateTheEnding
The handling of that car in the last game... whoa! But seriously, the way those corners were taken was amazing. Good job, Mike (I assume)
  • Missed opportunity to include the final bonus stage in Tekken 7, Where you play as Devil Kazuya against Akuma who even more cheap than Shao Kahn from MK9.
