Brian Webb started taking PrEP back in 2004, making him one of the first few people in British Columbia, and really all of Canada, to get on the one-a-day pill for HIV prevention! We discuss why he wanted to get on it back then, despite having an unhelpful doctor and difficulty with insurance, and luckily how much easier it is for Canadians today to get on it - especially thanks to this video's sponsor, Freddie!

Through Freddie you can get PrEP prescribed online and delivered to your door without awkward doctor visits, waiting rooms or hassle. More than 90% of their patients don't have to pay for their PrEP, which they make both easy and convenient to get. Freddie combines caring clinicians with technology to streamline the whole process so take the 60 second assessment at www.joshrimer.com/freddie to see if they can help you get it for little to no cost too!

Thank you to Brian for sharing his experience in this YouTube video - his website is at www.thehomoculture.com/ and he's @br_webb on Instagram and Twitter.

Very informative guys! The Prep Clinic in Ontario with Pharmacist Drew and Go Freddie are doing a great job in getting the word out there.

Prep has been available in Australia since 2017 nationwide and in NSW since 2015. It is also available through the government health system in Australia for very low cost.

First time I read the title I thought it said: first Canadian to be born on Prep. I was a bit confused. 😂 Very informative video though, thanks!
  • My issue with the gay seen and men is this desire to have extreme numerous sexual partners rather than than the desire to be in one loyal committed relationship. That is the best way to avoid stds.

So this pill only for Gay people or it can be provided to straight people as well ? It seems like a good pill because sometimes you don’t know the status of your partner. I’m a straight man, you wants to additional protection from STD’s like Freddie Prep.
