Varlamore In HDOS | OSRS HD Graphics Are AMAZING!

Hey there, Lead Artist and one of the programmers of the client here, First of all, thanks for making a video and praising many aspects of the client! I feel obligated to say that the Varlamore area has many issues with it currently and I'm working hard to overhaul the area. All of the assets and terrain you see in that area is the work of the auto-upgrading and mapping system of the client. It already looks astonishing on our side compared to what it is on the live client, but the work is not done, and we would rather release it until it is fully ready. For example, the darkened path, the untextured objects, missing lights, buggy animations and terrain missmaps (like snow in the Colosseum). All of which will be fixed with the overhaul. We also have some ideas about how to improve the UI Scaling quality, but that will take a little bit of time as our main developer is away. That is all :)

Only thing that grabs my attention with HDOS is the optimization. I can have the graphics fully maxed out and be in world 302 at GE at well over 100FPS. Can barely hold 60 in RuneLite in the same conditions. Drops down to 35FPS when I zoom out, too. Maybe eventually runelite will just merge over with HDOS, the best of both worlds!

I definitely love the idea of HDOS. I just wish it had the same number of plugins as Runelite

It all looked great, but the mining rocks to me looked incredible! compared to the single color rocks I stare at usually lol

If you want to change the resolution go to background settings on your wallpaper or whatever and Frick around till you find out.. haven't been on a PC or whatever version of windows for about 10 years but hope this helps you out

This video is very premature, the HDOS remaster for varlamore is still in the works...

osrs age of players is now pushing 30...do we believe that HD would bring in new players? Jagex investing in their own HD, so maybe...

I love HDOS. Just wish their team would put in more work. It could easily be the number 1 client if they did.

HDOS > runelite anyday

I just hate the sidebar of Hdos. It’s a headache and needs rework.
