There's no Barbies in here because Mattel said no, thinking the movie was going to flop. After being proven wrong, they asked to be in the movies going forward.

Before they got Tim Allen for Buzz, they offered it to Billy Crystal, who turned it down. He still says to this day it was the biggest mistake he ever made, and so when he was offered Mike Wazowski in Monsters Inc, he jumped on it.

My son is autistic and one of his favorite scenes to rewatch over and over is Woody and Buzz fighting under the car at the gas station😂 He loves chaos❤

I always thought that Sid did not have the greatest home life, but this is the first time I realized that the dog was unwilling to even go in the room where Sid's dad is passed out in the chair. Sid's parents seem neglectful from what we see, but why does the dog not even want to be in the same room as the dad?

The animation team for Toy Story perfected the movement of the Green Army Men by gluing some sneakers to a sheet of wood and trying to walk around with them on.

"You uncultured swine" I love that line. Never gets old! I remember seeing this in the theater and there are so many jokes that went right over the kids heads but landed fully with the adults! Kids had no clue why the army men running like that was truly hilarious! Thanks, Budz!

They were originally supposed to have a GI Joe blown up, but Hasbro refused, saying they were upset with them blowing it up. The compromise they reached was that they could have Potato Head instead. Pixar agreed, and they made it a Combat Carl instead.

When I was a kid Woodies bad reaction to being replaced really spoke to me. I loved Woody and my little brother loved Buzz

The song where Buzz has realised he’s a toy, and the sequence where he jumps off and falls down the staircase never fails to make me sob every time I watch it. Buzz being delusional is funny at first, but that coming out of delusion is so traumatic for him, especially the loss of flight.

Mr. Potato head was always a low key villain in my eyes. Yeah Woody is selfish but potato head started alot too 😅

You do raise a good point, Stef. How conditioned are the toys that they think it’s totally normal to play dead when kids are around, but think they are legitimately an astronaut up until the point of purchase…? I guess they don’t know any different.

Woodys voice box is the only thing Tom hanks doesn't voice. Those were done by his brother.
