I know this is probably well prepared but the way he talks is exactly the way a high-ranking executive should talk. Informed, measured and with the right priorities. Wish Boeing had more like him in his ranks.

In a duopoly, it is VERY easy for Boeing's PR problems to affect Airbus. It puts even more pressure on Airbus to be absolutely spotless, again from a PR perspective. Any perception problems arising from even mundane malfunctions can get blown out like...oh i dunno, a door plug đ

As an Ex-structural maintainer, this CFO has my utmost respect. He is no bean counter ! Not everyday you see a CFO so well versed in the product and in the fundamental / engineering / QC / principals of a buisness. Not everying can be quantified in Euros and Cents. Good job Mr. Toepfer !

I was pleased that there was no management speak used in this interview. No references to unscheduled disassembly Or unscheduled life limiting outcomes Or quality escapes Or sub- optimal outcomes. Nice crystal clear English . The man says what he means and means what he says and no translation is required. Take note Boeing executives ! And this is from a man not using his mother tongue .
