The heimdall boss had me dying. Dude was getting to the point when he was about to die he was still doing his in battle dialogue. The swords was still flying around 😏😂 while getting his face smashed in.

This is canonically how every fight went for Kratos.

I like how Kratos uses his past as a threat to the other gods, instead of immediately killing them.

Something I love about the Heimdall fight is how in the first phase you really straight up can't hit him. No matter what you do you won't land a single hit on him, and the spear only serves to stun him. But once you manage to land ONE hit on him Heimdall gets angry and distracted, which means he's less focused on avoiding your hits. It's a nice little character detail

43:24 Nobody’s talking about how meta this is. Earlier in the game Odin (disguised as Tyr) responds to Atreus saying “What choice do we have?!” with “There’s always a choice”. Now here’s Atreus hitting Odin with his own words when Odin says he had no choice to kill Thor.

53:45 still gives the chills/goosebumps for Kratos... We had never imagined in after all of those wars, he had a great ending for him

The fact that he also did it on "Give me god of war" difficulty and still not get damaged is amazing

This game was on another level. I don’t think I will ever play a game that made me feel this level of excitement again. Unless they continue this story

One thing to note is that this guy could've easily not show us the ending, but the goat did it to show us the beauty of the game. Mad respect

I love how kratos tells Thor “then you know what I’m capable of” at the beginning of the fight. Just to let him know what he’s in for.

Santa Monica confirmed that every time we see Kratos struggling; its because he is trying to keep the old god in. he doesn't want Atreus to see the old him, the same him that killed his entire family and abandoned them in his chase for vengeance. It has also been confirmed that Greek gods get stronger with age, and while we may not know the exact age of Kratos its probably safe to say that he has aged several centuries at least since the events of GoW3. Also Santa Monica said that Kratos holds back slightly for Atreus, that the new stories are for teaching Atreus, not destroying everything on his way to vengeance. A clear example of this is when Kratos insta kills a boss troll in a cinematic while Atreus is trapped inside the crashed mine cart.

I love that the Zeus and Ares armors look like his old armor he wore as Greece's second war god.

The Heimdall fight was soo quick it felt like 1 long cut-scene
