Hello! I enjoyed creating this video, and I hope that you will enjoy watching it too! In this video, I talk about the true nature of Batman, and how the authors of BTAS perfectly understood this nature.

If you can’t imagine Batman comforting a child you have not wrote Batman

Seeing batman become a symbol of hope at the end of The Batman was really great.

“Batman is an anti-hero” is one of the dumbest things a person can say. But everyone thinks he is, because he’s grumpy. Great video.

One of my favorite Batman quotes that surmises his character… “Let’s just say I set out to scare criminals, not children.” -The New Frontier

Daphne "And we finally figured out the answer." *Batman slowly reaches for knockout gas pellets

Kevin Conroy was the best version of Batman for a lot of people and i believe he still is the best batman.

Telltale's Batman said it best: "The mask is a symbol. Some fear it, but for others, it brings hope."

"Nice guys like you shouldn't have bad days." is one of the sweetest Harley moments of all time.

One of the best Batman lines I ever heard was "I'm out to scare criminals, not children".

Hearing Batman say "I had a bad day too, once" 3:14 it hit me like a truck knowing Joker's possible one-bad-day origin story. I somehow never realized it before that (if you accept Joker's one-bad-day origin story) both characters were traumatized by just 1 moment in their lives yet they responded to it in drastically different ways. It just occurred to me how much of a kinship Batman and Joker have.

I’ve always been pissed off about how more recent writers, have completely ignored the MAN part of Batman. They always try to make him look like some kind of animal, and they focus purely on the brutality that he should ONLY dish out to the worst of worst, not just any random crook. Everyone is so wrapped up in trying to make him this edgy and cool Mary sue, that they forget to make him look like a human being who cares for all people.

I think all of us should find some inner Batman like this one
  • I think a Mr. Freeze storyline would be a great vessel for this arc to show itself. I want a movie with Freeze desperate to save his wife from her disease to the point that it drives him to commit these crimes to get the resources he needs, but he understands that what he's doing is wrong. He doesn't wanna fight Batman, but feels that he has to when Batman won't let him do what he feels he needs to. He doesn't wanna hurt anyone and tries to incapacitate whenever he needs to use force. And he doesn't hate Batman for trying to stop him. He also understands that whether Nora lives or dies, he will have to go to prison when it's all over. And in one final desperate plea to Batman to let him do what he needs and to put his wife first, promising his surrender in the event that his work is done, Batman decides to help him. To help save Nora's life. To which they're successful. And Freeze does let himself be taken away after that, potentially getting out of jail early due to good behavior and a testimony from Batman himself.
  • My favorite Batman quote is, "I set out to scare criminals, not children." Because it perfectly encapsulates Batman's compassion, especially for children.

In my opinion Batman’s superpower or asset isn’t his use of fear or vengeance, but his compassion and humanity. I think he’s written best when he gives his enemies a chance at redemption and really, really tries to help them, the ones that are the victims. Sure, it’s cool to see him beat up some thugs or save the world but I genuinely like him more when he is helping people, being that person someone needs when they are at their lowest point, to ensure no one feels what he felt in Crime Alley all those years ago, no one should have to feel that pain, villain or not. Another thing that makes him one of the best superheroes out there is that he always finds another way to help, killing or giving up is never an option for Batman. Never . That is the very reason why Kevin Conroy’s Batman is my favourite version of him and one of the best iterations of the character. Because his Batman always tried to help first and foremost. It’s why Ace’s death is Batman’s greatest moment and one of the greatest moments in DC’s History period. I mean all he did was simply sit down and stay with Ace and comfort her in her final moments. He was being human

Freaking great video. Batman is so much more than a rich guy that beats up on people in a costume.
  • @Dr.CrowHead
The main point of Batman isn’t just to be a symbol to be feared, but also a symbol of hope and an inspiration for people to become better people. This is why Batman is one of my favorite superhero characters

"Good ol' Bruce. Always there. You never give up on me" - Harvey Dent
  • Batman doesn't collect Kryptonite to use against Superman, he collects it so no one else can use it against Superman! Batman is a caring and kind hearted person deep down.
