✨✨After tomorrow’s update from Bethesda, I will be remaking this video to update it.✨✨

Just got a Steam Deck and New Vegas feels like the perfect fit for a handheld. Especially with mods. Thanks for the video.

Alexx, every time I independently decide I want to do something you’ve uploaded a comprehensive video explaining what I need to do, often just days before I’ve decided to do it! Get out of my head! Thanks for the excellent and incredibly helpful content. As someone that’s coming to PC gaming late on via the Deck your channel has been a godsend!

To everyone running into the "no prefix" issue. I got around it. Download the most recent MO2 release. Do not create a prefix until you are running the MO2 installer. When running the installer you will get a dialogue that tells you how to create an instance. During this exact part of the process then go into Steam > Fallout New Vegas > Properties > Compatibility. Set to Proton 8. Run Fallout New Vegas and then exit the game. Return to MO2 and complete the install. The issue for me seemed to be creating an instance before running the installer, rather than creating one during installation.

Doing this step by step. It’s not proton 6.3 anymore it’s proton 8.0 psa Edit a few days multiple mods later. Just realizing how great of a tool this is. So many mods don’t know where to go
  • Fallout 3 and New Vegas are such good games, I love a lot of the mods I've seen

How do i get the nexus site to send mods to the manager? Every time i select mod manager download, it opens some program with an icon that is a k on a gear. The mod manager is not an option in the list that shows up. So for now my only option is to manually add each mod. I also can't finish the tutorial because i can't do what it wants me to do

Thank you so much for this tutorial! Now I can play my favorite game in a portable way and modded, it's a dream come true!! Your tutorials are the best!! 👏💯
  • I’ve never downloaded any mod before. In fact I’m new to the “pc” space in general. The fact that you can teach me to download a mod without me being confused at all says so much. Thanks for the help!❤
  • "Tale of two wastelands" mod can be interesting for you, too. It combines Fallout 3 and New Vegas using the New Vegas engine. With that you are able to play Fallout 3 in the Vegas engine and move from Vegas to Washington and back. You can use all mods from New Vegas. Some are even modified to use for he mod itself.
  • You are the GOAT! This is the only tutorial I could find that was easy and actually worked thank you! You’ve gained a new subscriber fs
  • I don't have a Steam Deck but it's nice to see a YouTuber doing these tutorials 👍.

I have followed your guide but when I click run I get a message saying failed to initialize renderer. I have tried in game mode but it just stays on the mod manager itself without a window for the game showing on screen

This is super easy to follow especially if you’re a beginner! Thanks for sharing your wisdom 🤝
