#vanlife From the Arctic abyss of Norway into Finland to explore the Russian borderlands. Surviving my First Arctic Winter of Extreme Van Life. Alone in Hurricane, Blizzard, Snow Storm & Camping in Extreme Cold Freezing Temperatures. I found a border on Google Earth that I wanted to check out. I travel I travel towards the remote border in the foresty regions to get a feeling for the area, and also out of curiosity after which I continue to Arctic Sweden and back to Norway. I cook burritos and make pulled pork sandwiches, and find a new favourite beer, a Finnish alcohol-free IPA.
Come along as I continue my road trip through the remote arctic regions of Norway, Finland, Russia and Sweden. I film all my Travel Documentaries in 4K/HDR.

My van is a Fiat Ducato, FWD with Nokian Hakkapalitta studless Winter Tires. This is the same as a Ram Promaster in America - USA and Canada, but with a diesel engine and manual transmission.

Surviving my 2nd Winter of Extreme Van Life, Hunkering down in Blizzard. Snow Storm Camping & Freezing Cold which includes:
This is my complete second winter of Winter Van Life in extreme conditions in the North, living in a van during freezing temperatures. Starting in November I go through the whole winter season of snowy winter adventures from November to April, with snow storms, blizzards, extreme cold, extreme snowfall, slippery roads and some amazing winter beauty as well.
I also show you what I learn as I go from my second winter in the van.

About me: I am a Norwegian adventurer and wilderness explorer. My youtube channel focus on outdoor wilderness adventures and exploration, backpacking, hiking, canyoneering, skiing, climbing and mountaineering. Nights spent in a tent, alone or with friends. From the snow covered mountains and misty fjords of Norway and Scandinavia to the remote plateaus of Yellowstone and the debts of the red canyons of Utah to the summit of Mt Whitney and the heart of Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park. I love the Wilderness! Email is under "For business inquiries", for general questions please comment on a video, I try to answer everyone.

24:00 There should really be an Academy Award for this genre of YouTube videos. Thanks Jarl.
  • You succeed in showing us what the arctic tundra is in winter, whiteness, naked birches, evergreen pinetrees, infinite landscapes, and lakes.... Then you take us inside your van, en we feel cosyness, and warmth. We meet a happy host, preparing a tasty wrap, we watch a quiet man looking tv under his warm scandinavian plaid.... Thanks to you, Jarl, we can visit beautiful Scandinavia with its northern lights.... and this from our armchair !

Your resilience and adaptability in the face of the Arctic's extreme conditions are truly inspiring. Watching you navigate through the winter van life, especially after such an intense blizzard and snowstorm, has been an eye-opening experience. The way you've embraced the solitude of solo camping and turned it into an opportunity for growth is remarkable. Looking forward to more of your adventures!

I just love watching your videos. I’m so impressed with the nice looking meals that you make inside a van. You do better cooking than I do in my own kitchen.

What a bleak black/white landscape in Finland and Sweden. Then, the return to Norway! Color! Northern Lights! Arctic skies! Amazing how porous the borders are, except for Russia, of course. Another wondrous trip!
