  • Any thorough lesson on UMO is deeply appreciated. Ruban is super underrated and a huge guitar hero of mine. Check out the new album, Layla is a really cool track. Thanks for all the cool vids!

man, i found your tutorial on a whim searching for some other Unknown Mortal Orchestra information and decided to click. i was surprised by the quality of the lesson & the demonstration of music theory knowledge. i hit subscribe as soon as you told us that you’d be staying in standard tuning!
  • An Analysis of How Many Zeros would be awesome, it is practically imposible to find anything about that track.
  • Hi Danny! I came across you channel by your Prince lessons (which I LOVE and thank you so much! đŸ„°) I was wondering if you’d be interested in doing lessons on Muse and some of their songs that people don’t really do lessons on. I love Muse so much, and it was actually Muse who got me into Prince, after seeing them perform a cover of Sign O The Times . Muse have also made a few Prince sounding songs, such as Madness, Propaganda, Supermassive Black Hole and The Dark Side. I’d appreciate this very much! ❀ Your fun/playful ways of teaching are such a breath of new air in the world of very ‘straight-to-the-facts’ boring ways of teaching. Thank you and can’t wait for more PRINCE đŸ˜â€ïž

this is the last time i’ll comment i promise lol! firstly, this isn’t on your SoundSlice! at least, i couldn’t find it anywhere. one idea for a video could be Black Napkins from Frank Zappa!!! Ruben has said that his playing is super Zappa influenced and i think Black Napkins is a great example of Zappa’s style that i feel Ruben pulled a lot from. there’s also probably a lot of transcriptions/analysis out there so you don’t have to spend a lot of that time on it yourself and could just focus on teaching (which you’re FANTASTIC at)

is there a way i can find a PDF transcription? EDIT: nvm, i saw you have a SoundSlice, but i couldn’t find this specific video.
