After hearing about the reality that long ago Elsa was initially supposed to be the villain of Frozen, today I finally want to understand what that story might have looked like. To be honest from the first moments I heard “Let It Go”, by the way Elsa declared who she was, how she was referring to unleashing the storm inside herself, and how she transformed into a confident woman who was not going to be restrained any longer, I immediately believed that Elsa was going to be the villain throughout the rest of the film. I felt like I was listening to a villain song. But I turned out to be wrong.

Have a magical day, fun p

  • I remember when Hans and the Duke of Weselton were secretly the villains, but they basically tried to make Elsa look like the bad guy.
  • I personally thought it was a missed opportunity that the sequel didn't go in this direction. I don't mean make Elsa the villain, but what if Elsa was confronted by someone who's just like her, but never had or lost their younger sibling. A dark reflection of what Elsa could've become had she given into despair: a cold, unstoppable, merciless killing machine.

I think that Square Enix had the original plans of Frozen on their mind, when they were making Kingdom Hearts 3, but -- halfway through production of the game -- the film changed gears, and Elsa was no longer the villain. Which is why the game looks odd in the Frozen level. The programmers had to change everything in an odd way, because they weren't told in advance that the film was changing direction.
  • If Elsa HAD been a villain, maybe Serena Valentino would’ve done a book called “Let It Go: A Tale of the Wicked Ice Queen.”
  • @DIOsNotDead
evil Elsa be like: the cold always bothered me anyway
  • If Elsa's QUICK on her powers, then she would've frozen everyone including Anna, then somehow torture those she had frozen OR leave the kingdom and create an icy world
  • Honestly, that one deleted scene with Elsa and the Soldiers, gave me chills, no pun intended.

My answer:Elsa is actually both of these, a heroine or villian, victorious or victim. becuase the greatest character you make through the greatest change both inward and outwardly is elsa, therefor it's elsa's story.
  • 2 videos I’d like you to do: 1. King Harold and Queen Lillian’s Love Story aka the Shrek version of the Frog/Human Prince 2. A video explaining the alternate timeline in Cinderella 3
  • I would pay to have the original version of Frozen put on the screen so I can show to my mother. She’s a fan of Frozen and she’ll never look at it the same way again.
  • @setsers1
I actually thought she'd be the villain before I saw the movie. Due to regular Disney logic. If there's 2 girls, ONE of them will be the Villain. Dominantly, One with ANY type of Magical Power. Yeah, You get the point.😊😉😆

It's a good thing that following the creation of "Let it Go." Elsa became the Elsa we know and love. Secondly, due to contrary belief the Snow Queen in Hans Christian Andersen's Snow Queen, wasn't literally a villain, yes she was an antagonist but not really a villainout character.
  • I really want to see the original idea of Frozen, it sounds so good and so fun, I desperately want to see it
  • @Femmeaesthetic
I wish if we saw her as a villain than Hans and maybe in the ending she could’ve had the redemption
  • @jamesmoyner7499
I came up with my own rough idea for a different version of the film: -Taking out the song “Fixxer Upper”, -the film Frozen renamed The Snow Queen, -No Hans being in the film and instead having Elsa be her own enemy like Jekyll and Hyde and near half way through the film she actually loses control and her darkness takes over that her parents helped her to keep under control and both of them are still alive and she does become queen in the film and Elsa’s dark half returns not seen since her childhood when she nearly hurt Anna only to become overwhelmed and it starts to take over and she does the best she can to keep it under control, but is unable to and Anna goes after her when her parents tell her the truth and her mother goes with her, and you see Elsa do the best she can to fight against her and there is a lot of scenes without any dialogue and you see her struggle and the more powerful the Snow Queen becomes the weaker Elsa is and when her heart becomes completely frozen over Elsa will no longer exist, there were fewer songs, and the comedy was there just not as much and it knew when to not be there and there was even a scene where Elsa actually was considering suicide by falling onto an ice spike because she realizes it might be the only way to destroy her dark side, but nothing is said and all done through visuals, also to make it darker have Don Bluth and Gary Goldman to come aboard the project, What do you think?
  • I'm going to be honest. I love Elsa she's one of my favorite Disney characters. But if they made her a villain she would have been more relatable. Because we would have understood why she became the way she is.❄
  • How about this as a plot idea with an evil Elsa: Anna dies from the ice blast, then the parents die a few years later, causing Elsa to become a hateful Queen and imprison the kingdom in an eternal winter, then Arendelle becomes Narnia.
  • I don't think Elsa refusing to bless a ultra fast marriage is necessarily a bad thing, lol. In retrospect it's good because Hans was bad. And I've always seen the Elsa villain thing to be an interesting concept, because of Elsa's voice actor playing the role of Elphaba in Wicked. Elsa and Elphaba to me kind of parellel each other in a few ways.
  • I've always liked Anna more than Elsa coz the movie is not only about Elsa but also about Anna who does her best she can without magical powers ✨ Have a magical day Isaac✨😄

I would like there to be a Frozen 3 with elements from the books. Elsa could be a villain, plus another villain based on the mirror that distorts ones view.
