BREAKING! DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE AVENGERS SCENE REVEALED?! Iron Man Post Credit Scene Breakdown

POTENTIAL MAJOR SPOILERS: In one later version of the script, Nova sends Deadpool and Wolverine into the final battle from ENDGAME where a Deadpool variant (volunteered by the main Wade even though he was instructed to do it,) takes the gauntlet from Tony, uses it, sacrificing themself and preventing Tony from dying. One version of the script has Tony using his nanotech to make the Gauntlet form back on his hand and dying just the same. A Deadpool then cracks a joke about him “really want[ing] to die.” I’m not sure how much of this is in the final film. I know there were talks of having the Deadpool variant succeed instead. I’m also unclear what Cassandra Nova’s intent was with this part of the plan (I only get excerpts from a version of the script) unless it’s to create an incursion to prevent the 616 universe (and Deadpool) from interfering with her main multiversal plan. I’m waiting for clarification on that. I do know the ENDGAME battle will be in the final film in some form and that, should they not be able to get RDJ to return, they’d use archival footage, stand-ins, clever editing and CGI to bring him to life for the sequence. Think the post-credits scene from DEADPOOL 2 where Wade kills his variant from ORIGINS and interacts with Wolverine… just on a much bigger scale. They do this throughout the film for several iconic MCU and Fox X-Men moments.

Secret wars being the official swan song for our og cast is chefs kiss. A reboot sounds scary, but also exciting and well needed given the lack of success the last few years.

The movie theater would’ve exploded if RDJ were to appear in a post credit scene. I hope they do it justice with Secret Wars. Such a big fan of the story line.
