Why do I keep finding more and more expensive hobbies lmao
  • @DCGMatthew1
I'm expecting someone to react to this by saying, "Yeah, that's cool, but look at my set-up," then showing themselves in an actual jet or something.
  • @fleacero
I'm very impressed with Virpil's professionalism. Look at the packing peanuts they are using at 6:20

I really just watched a whole 20 minute ad. And I enjoyed every second of it!
  • @1320archives
What I've learned: In order to afford a flight sim setup, you need a real pilot's pay check. Very cool to see, nice video.

These are must haves on Elite Dangerous, and with that Control Panel that just got released 🥵. I gotta pick up DCS...

My first reaction if a Youtuber tells, he got products for free for a review: "Why are companies doing that? No one is going to purchase that particular product, just cause some random dude on Youtube told that it's great, since he got it for free." My first reaction after seeing this kit: "Damn, I need to have it." Second reaction after seeing this kit: "DAMN, that is expensive!" Third reaction after seeing this kit: "Dangit, I still need to have it!"

I've found that a great thing to have, especially for VR users, is a trackpad/touchpad right next to the throttle for more convenient mouse control. I did need to develop my left hand coordination a little bit before it started to feel right though.

"It was well boxed and everything was packaged in very eerrr..... good packaging" Yes the floor is made of floor
  • @ralfidude
The TrackIR5 camera TAPED to your monitor is something that I feel in my core.... That thing is so janky. Nice review, I expect professionalism from you now. :)
  • I wanna say thank you drewski and Dam you at the same time!!! I saw your video about the virpil setup and decided to pull the trigger and upgrade from the X-56 and its night and day difference. I would say that its the best HOTAS that i have ever had and would say its the best you can get. I ordered the mongoose 3 along with the VPC Constellation ALPHA Prime and it is amazing. Worth every cent. Im a DCS guy i fly the 18 and the tomcat and i can tell a massive difference between flying with the X-56 compared to the virpil.

Love your comments on the rudder pedals, I remember my first time in a real airplane trying to taxi to the active, I was trying to steer with my yoke and almost wound up in the grass. My instructor laughed and said it happens to everyone. Once you get use to the rudders, you won't even think about using them.

Hi drewski, interesting thing about angled flight sticks in military planes: they are usually angled a bit to the left so that pilot don’t bend their wrists. By twisting the stick slightly left, it forces pilots to have like a bear claw grip, and that better for when your pulling G’s (cause you don’t bend your wrist)

I legit was looking for a video like this from you yesterday but didn't find it and now here you go, I guess I am blessed.

Thank you so much for this. I love the stick but after a year a few years ago I had this problem. I have no experience fixing fiddly internal electronics and didn't think there was a fix, and wanting to experiment with HOSAS for Star Citizen I bought the two-joystick bundle and that way I would have two joystick as back-ups in case the same problem happened. The 2nd broke a few days ago in the same way, I switched to my third thinking I do not want to buy any more of these. I went looking and found your video, gathered my courage and fixed both the old joysticks and it worked really well. Thanks for doing this fix and I appreciate the thing you said at the beginning, the part about you not being an electronics expert...being the same way it made this a little less intimidating to attempt.

New to flight sim and when first checking it out i said no way but your videos have maid me give it go.. started with a T16000 3 pack about a month ago and im hooked . A full flight sim coming, now to find the best quality hotas and rudder setup . again thx for all your help and COD eat your heart out..
  • @MrLeoLian
The trigger you mentioned has 2 stages. It is really useful to map the first stage (light squish) to EAC on A10C in DCS
  • @tonye9725
You totally nailed it about the rudder pedals. I just got my first set of Thrust Master T Flight. you were right , my brain wasn't ready. I basically cartwheeled a c172 landing in X plane 11. Thanks great video.

This is some really cool stuff, been wanting to go back into flight sims again, was waiting for an awesome SIM (I used to play DID - F2000 and at that points was reading books about aeroplane tactics and such just to get better). Somewhere in the attic, I have my old Thrustmaster set up. The things about the buttons brings back memories about have a button on my throttle that switched all buttons either in taking off & landing mode, fly mode and battle mode. The fact of using flaps to just park behind my friends and fly on their ass. I just went to the website and it is a pity that they don't sell the full package they sold you. You actually have to understand the product before you can order it :))). Awesome video... I might pick up flight sims again!
