  • Great overview! I'm surprised how much adding in the grey helped. Also, there's an option to mix in studs from presets, which has the other Lego art sets and some other palettes. (this way you can add in studs from multiple sets)

The scaling back the colours part is an excellent point

What resource would you go to see the actual colors that Lego makes for all their different tiles, dots, plates, bricks, etc? Rather than using this program, you can use a superior piece of software known as PCStitch. It allows you to import almost any image with stitch resolutions of 999x999. You can get it to be much higher with a little tweaking of how the values are entered. PCStitch maps to 505 DMC thread colors. You can also create your own custom thread color maps. So the challenge here is to color match all the components that Lego makes with all the thread colors used by PCStitch. Then you can do the same thing this online software does without having to be online to do it. You simply replace each stitch with a Lego component of the desired shape and/or color. You're not limited to relatively simplistic designs with PCStitch either. I use their software to make my fractal cross stitch patterns. I have over 10,000 fractal cross stitch patterns to date that I made using PCSitch.
  • Hey man! Great Video! Btw, when I upload and adjust my image, the step 3 image looks way better than the step 4 image. Is there any way where i can download instructions for step 3? Cheers:D
