Sebastian Stan is back at Sundance this year for the world premiere of A24’s “A Different Man,” co-starring Adam Pearson and Renate Reinsve. The three actors joined director Aaron Schimberg at the Variety Studio presented by Audible to discuss the film, which centers on an aspiring actor with a facial disability who undergoes a radical medical procedure to transform his appearance that proves to be his downfall.

I love how Sebastian wears pants big enough so everyone can fit inside them. He's so thoughtful

I like how Sebastian answers the questions, he always seems to redirect the light for other people to shine.

Sebastian Stan never cares about image or look when comes to a role that is so admirable about him.
  • I’m not gonna lie Adam talking passionately about the art was a joy to see. Seems like he’s a genuine actor and artist and not just a show piece. Also seems like he’s set not to just be a token. I genuinely respect that. Hope his career continues and he does well

It's amazing how Adam has gone on record that he wants to play a Bond villain. I totally could see Adam playing one of the best Bond villains ever. Not just being disfigured. Imagine him playing a billionaire genius, it's not just him being about his looks. It's about his drive and intelligence. He could totally play a chess player one step ahead.

I've seen Adam in another A24 outing, Under the Skin. Really great guy, looking forward to this one.

Just saw this at Sundance. The film is a total mindfck. Brilliant, chilling, thought-provoking, and heartbreaking. Think vintage Twilight Zone. It was so damn good.

Adam Pearson is so well spoken and polite. I am so happy and glad that he managed to build a successful career with his deformity.

Many thanks to Aaron, Sebastian, Adam and Renate. 🌅
  • THANK GOD (if there is one) that we've gotten to the beyond crucially needed point to where people with such gargantuan physical challenges like Adam Pearson are welcomed warmly as here and in so many other areas of life by now.
