A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man. - Joseph Campbell, The Hero with a Thousand Faces

  • “The hero journey is a symbol that binds, in the original sense of the word, two distant ideas, the spiritual quest of the ancients with the modern search for identity.” Joseph Campbell Please show your support by liking the video and subscribing to our channel for more valuable content similar to this. • S tier content. Keep it coming, it’s greatly appreciated.
  • At 8, I was adopted into a familial unit that had every element of change. Adopted by fire, the fire sired by water and earth, and they having also given birth to one of air. The fire burned for what felt like an eternity, going through every kind of abuse. Although they loved their blood family, the rest felt pity upon me, and taught me everything they knew. My grandfather flew 'the dragon', in WW2...he was my mentor. He even put me through Spartan trials, and I'd endured. I seen him shed one tear in my life. It was for me, and he had a smile, as well.

A lot covered in such a short time... travelled a few thousand years there...very enjoyable, deserves to be posted and shared to friends of the mind.
  • Is this just the Hollywood archetype of what a Hero persona is, rather than a psychological philosophy?
