I don’t think people appreciate the immaculate songwriting that was done on this song. It’s beautifully written and vulnerable. I did a deep dive on Mariah’s songwriting and she’s honestly a poet. I never knew.

The repeating "Cry... cry.. cry... cry..." at the end of the song actually sound like her crying... continuous, exhausted crying. What an artwork this song is!
