I haven’t been able to grow up on or near my rez so I missed out on a lot of teachings on things like this. Thank you for posting these videos, you’re really helping me out ❀

thank you so much, its wonderful to see skills like this able to be passed down online! our elders have so much wisdom and skills that we are losing! im actually here because i am crafting with bone and feathers (and every part needs to be as natural as possible) and i knew native americans would know EXACTLY what to do. and i was right! i knew i needed to wrap the string around the feather to tie it but i couldn't figure it out. this is awesome

  • Thank you for this teaching! I have collected feathers on my walks and hikes in nature for a very long time. And now I want to create something with them. Your expertise and sacred knowledge have helped me in understanding how to work with them in a respectful and more natural way.

Thank you for this knowledge! A predator got some kind of dove/pigeon in a field near me and I picked up the scattered flight feathers. I wanted to try and make something with them, but it's difficult to find methods for attaching feathers that don't use some kind of glue or plastic, which I really dislike using. I'm going to try this on feathers with a smaller shaft and see how it goes :) thank you!
