"Up Where We Belong" was written in 1982 as the title track for the motion picture "An officer and Gentleman", starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger. Performed by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes it won an oscar, a golden Globe and a Grammy in 1983.
