"There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in a storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.”

Fal Chavamee: I cannot be beaten, an entire army is no match for me. Halo 2 Jackal sniper: Hold my beer.

It’s strange seeing Sanghelli in casual attire or more calm environments.

And for centuries after that the badge of Arbiter would be a mark of shame and heresey, given to those who's failure deserved death but were to valuable to simply execute. Until one day a new Arbiter was chosen and restored the honor to the badge of Arbiter and the Sanghilie as a whole.

whats cool is that you can spot a clip from this in Halo 2 Anniversary's terminals when the heretic is talking about the origins of the current rank of Arbiter.

For anyone confused to the timeline of events, since it's told in media res: - Fal refuses to yield to the Hierarchs, as he sees through their lies. - Sensing retaliation, Fal tries to get Han to leave so she isn't in danger but she flatly refuses. Roh begs him to reconsider but it's clear that Fal has decided to meet them head on. - The Prophets dispatch Haka to kill Han and Roh, thus forcing him to a duel. - Fal kills Haka's bodyguards in the forest, then dispatches the large Covenant army waiting for him. - Fal and Haka have their duel, which claims both lives. - The rank of Arbiter becomes one of shame and bestowed to disgraced elites for a final chance at redemption, thus Halo 2's Arbiter centuries later.

Those sangheili can't aim to save their lives... Literally.
  • Revenge is like a Ghost. It takes over every man it touches. Its thirst cannot be quenched. Until the last man standing has fallen.

I actually find the stories focusing on the Covenant to be more emotionally compelling and complex.
  • I cant understand why people are arguing about the look of the Sangheili jaws in this. It's clear that the split is there. You can see it. Seemly, everyone's also forgotten that they can control their jaws at will. Again, a thing clearly seen when Fel screams, his jaws splits open into the iconic Elite look.
  • "We were strong once, Sanghelli was strong before this Covenant, and we could be strong once more. But we have strayed; we live not for honor but for power."

I like how the portray the Covenant as this Japanese like culture. Also how this was the last arbiter of respect. Before the role of an Arbiter was a role of Shame and that artstyle. Beautiful
