Today, I present you with my LEGO Technic Firefighter Aircraft Review! This set surprised me, and I ended up liking it more than I thought I would. The LEGO Technic firefighter plane is a unique set in that, I believe it is the first technic set with the pullback lever function to activate some motion, like the propellers. It is a design we saw in some other lego sets, but not in technic. This is an excellent lego technic fire plane 2023 and it provides great value for just $100.

  • For everyone's information, this man was up at 4:25AM making this video. I'd say he deserves some respect for that.

A few examples for landing gear that go up towards the front of the engine: B-17 DC-3/C-47
  • Finally an airplane from technic spring wave with unique functions that looks good and has cool mechanisms. I’m planning on getting that one and in the future they should make licensed airplanes for comerical jet airliners, cargo and fighter jets

2:05 That shock absorber looks new! It has more spring coils than the soft shock absorber, but they're not bunched up like the hard shock absorber.

That actually looks really fun! I too was worried about a boring set when I saw the images, but this gives me hope for more interesting technic sets in the future.

This is on my must have list for Christmas, it’s my childhood dream of a Lego p And, working gear, engines, ailerons, EVERYTHING
  • The ratchet mechanism reminds me about set 8232 from 1997. I think #8232 was the first set with this kind of mechanism to power blades

Cool review and perfect setting for this type of aircraft. The forward closing landing gear can also be found on E-2D Hawkeye planes.
  • This plane seems loosely based on the Canadair CL-415, But it doesn’t have the landing feature you talk about.
  • I absolutely love it when lego releases an aircraft model with working landing gears, it just makes it very realistic!
  • Ok so I’m going to nerd out a little here, the landing gear on the Dash-7 (the predecessor to the Dash-8 family that had 4 Terboprop engines and had some incredible STOL (Short take off and landing) landing gear went forwards similar to this sets main gear, there are still a few of these flying but they are not used much due to haveing the 4 engines and usually carrying only 16 passengers). Ok now back to the set I will definitely be buying this and maybe even a second copy so I can extend it to a Q400 (just a shame it’s $180 AUD)

I couldn't wait to see review on this set. I will definitely buy it.

I wonder if this large piece can be used to make a magazine for a functional Lego pistol. I've tried to make one but it's always a struggle to get a small enough magazine mechanism that both fits 'bullets' and fits inside the handle of a pistol. I might get this set just for the parts if that is the case.

Someone could easily turn this into a Q300/400. Great set

@5:40 The DHC-7 has forward-retracting landing gear. I actually bought two of these last night with the goal of making the four-engined DHC-7 in the same scheme. Looking forward to the build! Had to do a Bricklink order to get some missing parts...like black rotor blades and four-bladed hub pieces.

I'm subscribing now cuz I love this video
  • @Arcanace
I always love the larger aircraft Technic sets, and this is no exception!
  • @RoscoeWasHere
Huh, I could have gone for a few more curves here and there but it still looks pretty awesome. Especially the features!
