    That was a great show. I was really amazed by the bass player's Chapman Stick. That thing really kicked out some serious Taurus-like bass tones.

    In my opinion, Guthrie's best solo work (tone and runs) for this song are on the prelease DEMO sessions of the song. Even better than the production release version.

    Desde ambos puntos de vista hay razón. Creo que en este caso en particular, el solo de guitarra esta muy "acelerado" para la sensación de "paz y tranquilidad" que inspira el tema (aveces menos, es mas). Por otro lado (y lo digo como músico) creo que siempre los guitarristas de la talla de Govan improvisan sus solos, sobretodo y tomando en cuenta que estamos hablando de Rock Progresivo. Buen extracto del concierto. Saludos..

    Govan siempre esta improvisando. Creo que el solo original era improvisado. Ese solo tiene muchos espacios que son perfecto para cambiar un poco. Yo toco, y siempre cambio las cosas.

    I missed that. So it explains how different they sounded on the demo. Like you, I really preferred Steven's guitars on the drive demo.

    What was the venue? pissed that i missed it. Guthrie should do posts on youtube about gigs he is doing and tours. If he did sorry I some how missed it. Least i will see the Aristocrats at the Brass Mug next month. Tight!!!

    I have heard about those demos. I have the BluRay and the regular 2 CD set of the Raven album, but nowhere on there could I find the demos. Are these on the special book release with 4 cds?

    Honestamente, prefiero el solo original del álbum. Creo que demasiada improvisación quita feeling. El solo original es la médula de este temazo, por lo que no debería alterarse ni una sola nota ni tiempo con respecto al original.
