True No Hit Asriel (First Ever)

Undertale No Hit has finally been completed. Each individual encounter, excluding scripted damage (obviously), has finally been done completely damageless, 4½ years after the game came out.

This took maybe around 40-50 hours, I didn't keep track and I have no way of knowing exactly since I have my Undertale disconnected from steam.
But yeah, this is No Hit Asriel, first and second phase, the full fight, done in a single segment for those who don't get it. This has never been done before up until this point.

The main reason this hasn't been done before is probably obvious, that second to last attack where he just goes crazy and spams an absurd amount of missiles. Most would write this attack off as impossible to no hit. Well as it turns out, that's true only about 97% of the time! :smileW: (my rough estimate based on my consistency)
That isn't to say there's no skill involved in dodging the attack, you still have to have the reading ability and familiarity with the dodging methods in order to evade this attack at all. Of course there's like a .5% chance you'll get a completely free pattern, but those are way worse odds to work with. So, I learned of a way you can use a savestate to practice just that attack, or just the second phase, repeatedly in isolation. That helped me a LOT, I may not have attempted this otherwise, or at least this would have taken way longer ( so thanks, Depa c: ).

One of the reasons this run is so special to me is because less than an hour before this attempt, I actually got a run past the spam attack at the end, only to choke it on the easiest attack in the fight that is the final attack. To continue playing after that despite being unfathomably devastated, demoralized, and demotivated, and to be rewarded after accepting and moving past the hurt, is also something I just find so incredibly fitting. As horrible as I was feeling about myself in the moment, I realize now that that required more Determination than I've ever had to muster up in my life. I'm so proud of myself.

Thank you to everyone who has watched my videos, supported me, or been my friend for any amount of time or at any point. In so many ways, you push me forward, and make me smile.

What a great fight to have it conclude with. The setting, the buildup, the music, all the time and effort it took- I can't even imagine the true amount of emotion that was set free that day, and oh boy it was a grand day. Incredible work, and it's saved right here in this extremely impressive video. Amazing in every way.
  • i have no idea why i expected this guy to take no damage from the undodgable beam
  • "I BETTER NOT SEE A COMMENT" he says, as his face flashes in every color of the rainbow

By the speed at which he skips through the dialogue, you can tell exactly how long he's been trying this for

4:10 "Let's see what good your determination is against THIS" ( *turns into a fucking meme* )

I've known about you for a VERY long time, but I never really took the time to get to know you until recently. I didn't realize how much we had in common until I did this, and it made me realize that I'm not alone in mindset. This game means so much to me, and I'm so happy that you were the one to finish it off as far as no-hit is concerned. You're truly an inspiration, and the things you do are some of some of the most mind-boggling feats I have ever seen. Thank you for being one of the only people I can relate to in this crazy world, I can't wait to see what you do next. :)
  • * Merg wants to know your location. Holy crap I just realized the background in this fight is just the barrier with rainbow effects.

I don't think enough people realize just how INSANELY hard it is to dodge the attack at 7:59, and just how lucky you'd have to be. It is purely rng whether you'll make it pass or not, and most of the runs have ended there.

This is only one of a few things I've instantly wrote off as impossible that you've proven me wrong on. You're an inspiration to us all man <3
  • @ssamuueel
9:28 you got hit... By a rainbow in the face, you can see it in the top left
  • 8:10 Ok but His Theme building in the background as you let all of your stress out because you finally did it... It feels powerful. Good job Eenox, you deserve all the credit you get and more.
  • This has already been done, except for the obviously impossible bullshit section at the end. ...wait. Oh no.

I'm just wondering whether he's crying because he finished the challenge or because of the sad scene...

I like how this game literally doesn't allow you to do an absolute no hit run in any endings, because you will get hit against your own will in every ending.
