Thank you for the video, Dan. BUT WAIT! Let’s not forget to do a COMPLETE analysis on the offensive struggles last year. It is easier to point the finger at the WR room last year than accept the fact that Patrick Mahomes had a really BAD year until the playoffs. He struggled reading defenses and held the ball way too long at times. When he did throw the ball his ball placement was poor, velocity was either to hot or not enough, and his foot work was all over the place. His basic fundamentals were not up to par. Also, remember the Chiefs not only lost their WR’s coach to Baltimore but also their Offensive Coordinator to the Commanders last year. There is no doubt in my mind that this contributed to the inequities in the passing game. Still, it does not matter how fast they are this year or how versatile this WR room is, our MVP QB struggles with certain defenses and forces the ball too often. Look at last year’s SuperBowl second half interception. Even Travis Kelce looked frustrated with the throw. How bout Mahomes completely missing a WIDE OPEN Rice for a TD only to force the ball to Kelce in the redzone. What separated QB’s like Peyton Manning and Brady was their ability to read defenses on the fly and make adjustments at the line of scrimmages or after the snap. Mahomes knows the offense now it’s time to hit the film room and under stand defensive schemes in and out. If we are going to do analysis, let’s look at he the whole picture and not pick at low hanging fruit.
