I swear to God this is a true story...once in about 1983 or so I was on a highway and I had this song playing on an 8 track in my old Camaro and I was at a red light. Robin Zander had just sang the line "would you like to go to heaven tonight?" and a big black hearse pulled up beside me. It freaked me out so bad that I went straight home and didn't go out for three days. I was a major fan back then. Met them (when you could actually meet them outback of the arena) except for Tom Petersen, and talked to them and got their autographs. They were very nice. Mixed memories, to say the least!

Billy Corgan wrote Tonight Tonight as a homage to Cheap Trick and this song
-
Absolutely love the version they recorded of Heaven Tonight at Daryl's House. Powerful stuff.
-
This song is fckng HEAVY, folks. CheapTrick can do it all and they did it so damn well! Almost sounds like a really good SmashingPumpkins tune from the 90s or something.

oh the joys of youth..used to set and listen with my headphones on..especially when I was in a mood

They did this song live last night. It's one song I definitely didn't expect to hear. It was the first time I've heard them do it live, and it was awesome! They always know how to put on a good show.

I mean, what a dark song
-
Cheap Trick are, and always will be, the "Next Beatles" IMHO.
-
Great album by them .

Legendary Album and Rock and Roll Recording Artists ever

No need to compare this to other bands - except for Lurch and his harpsichord.

Pure Greatness!!!

Takes me back to 78 I was 11 years old and I would listen to this iconic album and this was my ultimate favorite song 🤘 it still is! Who's listening in 2023!!!

One of my favorite 8 tracks, blasting the amplified Tenna Mindblower speakers from the back shelf of my 68 GTO! That was heaven and life was so much simpler then 👉 😕

I want this played at my funeral.

🤔A beautiful haunting ode to drug addiction...Imho the ACL Live version w/Sleep Forever is their best!
-
nice song!
-
It's funny how the 90's kids think that their music is original.

78' live performance was so much BETTER and the version on Daryl's house was AWESOME AF. I WISH a band today would cover it or at least for them to go back and pre-release it the way they did @ Daryl's.
