How To: Pack and Fold Up A Razor Scooter

I have received lots of questions about how to fold and pack up a razor scooter since people still have trouble with the level that folds it in half to make it more portable. I have created a How To video to address these issues.
Pro tip: Let the scooter's weight (mass) do the work for you. Keep it perpendicular to the ground.
Thanks for watching and please feel free to leave a comment.

I haven’t used my razor scooter since i was a kid. I decided to start using it again because i’m going to my last semester of college and im starting to use my scooter so i don’t have to a lot of money for gas. Safe to say that 10 years later this video is still useful

I am loving the Latest.Bike Scooter , it’s sturdy, safe and well-made. It gets me from point A to point - B- in a good record of time. ?????

Oh my god you have no idea how hard it was for me to find a tutorial for a stuck handle. Two scooters fixed in as many minutes. You just bought me an extra cubic foot or two of storage for our road trip!

omg finally! i’ve been trying my whole life jesus. If anyone doesn’t understand you have to hold the scooter straight out and push the lever the towards the back of the scooter

Exactly what I needed to see! Manual had none of that.

If we can hit 400k views, I will reshoot and remaster this video in 12K resolution. 12/30/2021 - thank you viewers, the video has hit 400k views and I will work on a 12K resolution remastered video for the 10 year anniversary of this video to be published later this year. At the moment, it's currently delayed due to camera equipment shortages. Will update this when I get closer to the filming date, my apologies.

If you are folding it up pick up the scooter and let the weight (mass) of the scooter do the work when you turn the latch. If you try to force the scooter to fold when turning the latch, you will jam the latch and it will not be able to turn. If all comes to worse, apply a little bit of lubricant to the hinges to make the latch less sticky. Hopefully this helps. -JP

I lost my scooter in 2009 but when I find it I will now be able to make it more portable! Thanks!

This was really helpful. My kids have been storing them in my kitchen fully upright and now they can keep them in their rooms. Thanks so much!
