Follow me into an exclusive look into what we midshimen do during our Summers. Every year, midshimen are required to take part in spending time aboard a naval vessel or aircraft in various parts of the world. This year, I got to travel to Norfolk Naval Station and train aboard the USS Forrest Sherman.

If you didn't know, my name is Justin Chu and I am currently a sophomore studying Robotics and Control Engineering at the US Naval Academy. I currently play Division 1 Water Polo at USNA and am looking into making new vlogs about my journey in college.

The fleet is pretty amazing! Did two aircraft carriers and two deployments. Just got out two years ago and did 5 years. Enjoy your time! It goes by really quick

Ahhh Norfolk and the good old Gator Fleet. I was stationed out there in 02 on the USS Saipan when i was a corpsman. Have a fun and be safe out there.

Did you stay at a the Norfolk NB Inn? I visited Norfolk back in 2019 (Before COVID) for Veteran's Day. Nice visit (the Naval Base, USS Wisconsin, Virginia Beach for dinner, the MacArthur Memorial, Ft. Monroe, the Maritime Museum). I just returned from a visit to Vietnam, remember to visit local museums during your career. Sometimes answers your question, "Why am I here". Even here in Kansas City, we may have some museums to visit (the WW I museum, the Truman Library) and our biggest body of water is the Missouri River.

Hi JC four month time my nephew Cj 💙 will be at the Navy Academy studying. He is trying to enjoy his College level. He is the only child for his parents and they spoiled him a lot.He get everything he wants. Have a safe trip JC.
