Hello Salhaugen Family from the Washington,D.C. Metro (DMV) area! You all are doing a wonderful job. My Husband’s roots are German/ English, I am an Ilocano American and we have 3 children (now adults). We had our first born (son) in SanFrancisco far from our Family back east. We hired a Yaya who was an ilocano Lola. We payed around 2,000 a month back then. She helped us a lot. You and Ave remind me of our family and the joys of new parenthood. Sending lots of hugs to the three of you from the other side of the Globe!

Being a good parents is a whole life of discovering and exploring ; actualy a continous learning process for everything we are doing for today would be history for tomorrow. There are always different factors influencing our daily lives not to mention time and space. Ave & Martin im so happy to you both for being a good parents to your unica Tokyo. As a parents only one thing that I could advice to you both always cherish the memories with Tokyo. I’m a mother of two daughters, but I’m not the one who take good care of them since baby because I prioritize to earn money abroad in order to give them good future. Through my absence I gave them material things in exchange of my real presence and love, but it’s not healthy as they grow up differently. Their attitude was really not acceptable to me. It’s too late to regain their love. God bless to you both. I pray that you will be there to take care of Tokyo always.
