Grimmchild vs Final Boss [Hollow Knight]

MASSIVE SPOILERS: FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T BEATEN HK AND THE DLC's, DON'T READ BELOW Alright. So first off, in my opinion even with Joni's this is already harder than any official challenge the game throws at you, including Nightmare King, which i beat with Grimmchild equipped (might upload that too) or Zote's 10th fight... which was surprisingly easy if you abuse Joni's and FotF. Can't say anything about White Defender because i haven't grinded him to his maximum strength yet but yeah. Also, i should mention i tried to do this for 8 hours without any other Charms. My playtime was below 70 hours before this, you can see the updated playtime after the credits play. It is freaking impossible, HK is easy but you are trapped in a room with the Radiance for 11-14 minutes and can take exactly 4 hits. And in the third phase she has a nasty habit of comboing hits, like the light wall into the summoned balls of death which can sometimes lead to you getting knocked from the light wall into one of those balls. Oh yeah, she also spawns attacks on top of you if you're too close. The problem with this fight isn't just the difficulty itself though. Hollow Knight is easy enough, and half-way through your attempts you'll learn to No Damage-Run him in your sleep. But he gets you into a certain rythm and also, he has a ton of attacks that you have to be ready for and expect, but very easy to dodge. Then after you spend 3 minutes dodging, full well knowing you get healed up at the start of the Radiance bossfight anyway, you get thrown into a completely different bossfight where you see every attack coming from ages ago but they're hard to dodge. Those balls of death you can see coming from a mile away but when half the platform is a hurt hitbox or you have to maneuver around what ground the game gives you in the third phase, after you have been put through the same 3 minute bossfight grind that is the Hollow Knight, not being allowed the satisfaction of hitting the enemy back (nevermind having to actively restrain yourself) while you know you are fighting the boss with the highest health pool in the game and then seeing Grimmchild miss every other shot... It can make you mentally insane. Especially when you get hit twice in the beginning of the Radiance fight and knowing you already lost and will have to go through HK again just to get another shot... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. The only good thing i can say about this challenge is that it's over. I've done it with Joni's and 20 health, anyone who gets this done without using any other charms or knows someone who did it... And I’m sitting here like “ooh I feel so amazing I beat failed champion and watcher knights no upgrades aren’t I good”. That must have been a horrific experience lmao.

Nice stuff! I actually did a similiar challenge a little bit ago (there's a video on my channel), though I decided to use all familiars, so Dreamshield, Grimmchild, Glowing Womb, Weaversong. I did both Radiance and Nightmare King Grimm with that build, it was hell. But yeah, impressive stuff here, keep it up!

Over two years, later, good job. I uh, kind of just defeated Absolute Radiance with Grimmchild, but I used a really gimmicky combination for it, Hiveblood, Grubsong, and Grubberfly's Elegy, also Dream Wielder. You can just throw yourself at the spikes, get 25 soul then wait 12 seconds for it to heal up. This is even easier in the platform phase because you can just yeet yourself into the void (you can also technically avoid attacks by doing this). Then whenever you get hit, you wait 12 seconds and you'll have soul to heal.
