Welcome to my channel. I make lots of music based videos, mainly dancing to really nice music. My music choices are based on having a first love of Soul and Funk music, although I love a lot of different types of music and rhythms. I enjoy sharing this love and making videos to re-imagine those tunes. I try to mix up classics with tunes not so well known, and putting creative and artistic visuals to the tunes can be fun and interesting, and the process of making videos is part of my journey which has led me to do lots of different things. I have released my own CD through Universal Music, and I have worked with many different companies and style brands where Music or Dance has been part of the campaign. I have had Music Radio Shows and I DJ as part of @streetsofsoul and sometime we put on events too!!

I got into Northern Soul in my teens, I'm now 56. I used live near London and would get the coach up North to various venues and dance the night away. I had a family in my late 20's and stopped going to allnighters, anyways I moved up to Derbyshire in 2014 and its fab cause I hear so many tracks from my youth being played at work Christmas do's, friends parties etc..On my 50th the DJ was asked to play some Northern Soul for me, I could of cried and my muscle memory didn't let me down although a bit rusty. My knees were shocking the next day. I've loved watching this, and can't wait until my exodus to Twinwood Festival 'Rona permitting' so I can get my yearly fix of Northern Soul in the Soul Shack.

Brings back some memories, lacing my shoes up and filling my Adidas bag with a few shirts, can of Brut and a towel. Heading down to the station for the train into Wigan North Western, and the walk up to the casino.

EXACTLY! isolation has caused me to appreciate the Lindy Hop, its rhythmic style and its social friendships. After a night of dancing through my household shores, I lay down with a dreamlike smile and the satisfaction that dance provides. Aw... yes! Levanna, I feel your joy!

R&B, Beach Music, I grew up on it all including dancing to these groups in clubs. It was a wonderful time.

Ha ha I love it when you walked round the hedge...I always remember the goosebumps when approacing an all nighter venue and hearing the mufled sound of a favourite track.. you've captured the background noises perfectly...
