The fact he asked about the kids being allowed in the restaurant and the owner was constantly reiterating how hyper and loud kids are while the camera shot back and forth to two kids quietly eating ice cream being calm as Hindu cows. Fucking amazing 😂

No matter how much contempt Gordon has for the owners, he is unfailingly polite to the wait staff. I respect him for that.

I grew up in Chelan. NONE of the locals ate there. They were expensive, didn't allow kids and they went through chefs so fast that the food was very inconsistent. The ice-cream parlor saved them in the summer, plus tourists who didn't know better yet. They had THE BEST location, right by the bridge. My best friend worked there for 2 months when we were 17. She got one paycheck in 2 months. Her older sister also worked there, got sexually harassed, reported it and nothing was done as they didn't have cameras. Fast forward to after Ramsay came, the town was so excited. The ice-cream parlor was great, but he did stop offering samples. His treatment of the staff never improved. I live out of town now, but i'm pretty sure it's either closed or under new ownership.

Like Gordon said Brent reverted back to his old ways but even worse: Many yelp reviewers still complained about Brent's rude attitude, he overcharges customers and refused to give back the money back to the people who decided to cancel the book (all of these reviews were in 2020). The carpets were extremely stained and dirty as well. Brent in a interview said that Gordon's ideas "didn't work" and that Gordon didn't understand the area, "but of course in the show he's always right". In 2023 a new Hotel occupied the spot called The Landing and it's also has a hotel portion and ice cream parlor, it also has a spa, a restaurant/bar, and live music. According to Yelp it has a 5 star review and a 4.3 star review on Google (could be outdated), so all and all it's a huge improvement.

He treats his customers like they're kids that can't be trusted. He also treats his wife like she's a slave maid. In return she takes her frustrations towards him out on the customers. Then add the fact that he is a pervert that's clearly cheating on her and she probably suspecta or knows it. What a mess!
